Guilsfield Show are excited to announce that we will be running a Virtual Show for this year.  All entries and judging are done online.  You will still win a rosette and there will be an overall champion.  Details of the Virtual Show 2021 will be available here soon.

It is with much disappointment that the Guilsfield Show Committee have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 show event, given the uncertainty over any Welsh Government Covid restrictions over the summer period.

 

The Committee have left the decision as late as possible, but feel that the safety of those attending and those who volunteer is paramount in their minds.

 

Matthew Kneale, Committee Chair said “Our show normally takes 11 months of planning by many people to make it the success it is. We simply cannot second guess what requirements will be in place in August. Any social distancing or track and trace requirements would be very difficult to manage, therefore for the safety of all concerned we have decided to hold our second Virtual Show instead.”

 

Last years Virtual Show attracted many entries and proved to be highly popular with all ages. Further information on the Virtual Show will be posted on the Shows website and Facebook page in the coming weeks.

 

The Show Committee look forward to welcoming everyone back on Thursday August 11 2022. Keep safe and we will hopefully see you all soon.

Guilsfield Show is a community run event and we really do have something for everyone.  The main show includes sections for horses, dogs, horticulture, cookery, photography, floristry, arts and crafts and many more.  There is a full day of entertainment in the main ring including kids races in the afternoon. 

 

The shows runs into the evening and for the last two years we have hosted an evening music event, which has proved to be a great success with many people staying on into the evening to enjoy some great music and a drink in sunshine.   Keep an eye out nearer the time to see which great local bands will be performing this year.

The 2019 show was one of the biggest and best so far, which is only made possible by our wonderful local community.  From our volunteer committee through to everyone who participated or attended the show, each person contributed to the show being a great success.  Our charities for 2019 were Hope House and MacMillan Cancer Support and we were happy to be able to donate £250 to each of these charities (pictured left) as well as a significant donation to Guilsfield Church.
