Guilsfield Show Presidents
You might remember in 2020, that John and Sally Jones were announced as Guilsfield Show Presidents. Unfortunately due to Covid that didn't happen. We tried again and asked them in 2021, but Covid had other ideas about that too! So we are delighted to announce that (third time lucky) John and Sally will be the Guilsfield Show Presidents for 2022.
As part of the Presidents role, John and Sally have nominated the RJAH Orthopaedic League of Friends (Welshpool branch) and the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund as their chosen charities and I am sure that you will agree these are two very worthwhile causes.
Please note the Poultry section is cancelled for 2022. Hopefully we will see our Poultry competitors again in 2023.
Guilsfield Show is a community run event and we really do have something for everyone. The main show includes sections for horses, dogs, horticulture, cookery, photography, floristry, arts and crafts and many more. There is a full day of entertainment in the main ring including kids races in the afternoon.
The shows runs into the evening with a live music event, which has proved to be a great success with many people staying on to enjoy some great music and a drink in sunshine. Keep an eye out nearer the time to see which great local bands will be performing this year.
Our 2019 show was the last one run (due to Covid) and was one of the biggest and best so far, which is only made possible by our wonderful local community. From our volunteer committee through to everyone who participated or attended the show, each person contributed to the show being a great success.
The section and schedule sections on this website will be updated to show the 2022 classes and events soon - keep an eye out for the details being announced.
Our show would not be possible without the kind permission of Mr J T K Trevor who allows us to use the show field and Mrs G Davies and Family for field parking.
Please note the Heavy Horse section is cancelled for 2022 - all other horse sections are going ahead as per the schedule. Hopefully we will see our Heavy Horse competitors again in 2023.
